Peraton requires Senior Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located at JEB Little Creek in Virginia Beach, VA.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide
USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network
Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
The Senior Network Engineer performs Tier three network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. This position tests and analyzes elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices, communications lines, modems, and terminals and is responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise network. The Sr. Engineer is responsible for planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management and coordination of the network. Participation in working groups, design reviews and system tests are required. This position will help generate assessments, as well as develop and implement actionable recommendations based on reviews. This position monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Education and Experience:
- HS 12-14 years of experience, BS and 8-10 years of experience, MS and 6-8 years of experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field perferred.
- 5 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems and network engineering, including two years of specialized experience related to the candidate’s assigned task.
- Must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software and have extensive experience in network design, implementation and maintenance. This experience will include but is not limited to LAN/WAN interfacing, static and dynamic routing, access control, network security, and LAN switching for data and voice networks over both wired and wireless mediums.
- DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher is required.
- DoDD 01-M IAT Level II required AND two of the following certifications are preferred
- CCNP Security
- CCNP Collaboration
- CCNP Data Center
- CCNP Enterprise with one specialist concentration
- CCNP Enterprise with a secondary specialist concentration
- CCDP
- CCIoT

- Juniper Networks Certified Specialist

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
