Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Software Configuration Manager (SCM) in Huntsville, AL.  This role will have the ability to work both on/offsite (hybrid). 

 

Peraton has a great opportunity to support the Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) program office.  This role will work across several high visibility products at ASE as a member the software team.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Work as part of the ASE software team to manage, document, and maintain software configuration items
  • Provide direction to vendor SCM teams for software and document deliveries
  • Review and provide disposition SCM-related CDRLs
  • Own and maintain SCM-related processes and procedure
  • Understand, document, and process software configurations for ASE products across multiple product lines and aircraft types
  • Understand and create software builds based on customer needs 
  • Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders such as vendors/suppliers, software quality, software engineering, lab/testing, development teams, and security
  • Provide weekly updates and status
  • Maintain, document, and audit inventory of vendor provided software and documents
  • Identify and proactively mitigate risks for SCM-related tasks
  • Provide recommendations for process improvement and efficiencies, as needed 

 

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 

  • HIgh School 9+ years of experience, Bachelors and 5+ years, Masters and 3+ years
  • Clearance: Must be a US citizen with a the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
  • Strong attention to detail and processes
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to clearly communicate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work onsite at customer location on a regular basis

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
