Responsibilities

We are hiring for a Software Developer/Help Desk Specialist in Chièvres Air Base, Belgium (SOFA position). 

 

What you'll do:

  • Provide Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management (C4IM) Support.
  • Support End-users with Microsoft Windows NIPR/SIPR desktops, laptops, printers & scanners.
  • Primary point of contact for processing trouble tickets assigned to the USAG Information Management Office (IMO) group.
  • Process and maintain NIPR and SIPR Microsoft Active Directory (AD) user and computer accounts.
  • Install and configure Army NIPR/SIPRNet images on computers.
  • Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on hardware to detect problems and establish and maintain records on repairs, downtime, changes and updates.
  • Design and create SharePoint sites; set permissions based on customer requirements;
  • Develop, maintain and document new and current SharePoint solutions and workflows.
  • Develop web parts, import/export data, and integrate document management systems.
  • Provide technical SharePoint support and problem resolution, as well as, user training.
  • Provide weekly and monthly status reports documenting work performed.

Customer Relationship:

  • Participate in customer visits and service reviews. 
  • Respond to service, product, technical, and customer questions in an urgent fashion.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Qualifications

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD; in lieu of degree, 9 years of applicable experience will be acceptable.

 

What you'll need:

  • Demonstrable experience in the fielding, management, configuration, repair and system program aspects of hardware desktop support in an enterprise setting.

  • Demonstrable experience in Windows 10/11 Professional, Microsoft Active Directory and Storage Area Network (SAN) administration.

  • Experience in the administration, support, design, and development in the Microsoft 365 cloud.

  • Expertise in determining customer requirements and automating processes via SharePoint Online and the Power Platform.

  • Knowledge of system administration and technical practices to resolve customer IT problems.
  • Active Directory Administration, Windows Desktop Support and MS Office Support. 
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities set by the client. 
  • Aspects of SharePoint Online functionality. 
  • Power Apps 
  • Power Automate

Preferred Experience:

  • Microsoft Teams
  • Power BI

Education and Experience Required:

  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification
  • Proficient in the execution of administrative tasks assigned to SharePoint Site Collection Owners
  • Computing Environment Windows 10 (can be done during on-boarding)
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
