Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a proven, forward-thinking technology leader for the role of Chief Technology Officer of our $2B Space and Intelligence (S&I) Sector. This role will serve as the senior technology leader for the sector, reporting to the sector president, and collaborating with our S&I executive leadership team.

 

As the successful leader in this role, you will shape the technology strategy for S&I growth, including setting the vision for technology investments and partnerships by staying ahead of customer technology drivers and trends, and collaborating closely with internal and external partners. You will help develop and implement strategic initiatives that foster our technical staff development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap for S&I, providing seamless alignment with leadership, business goals, organizational objectives and customer challenges.
  • Lead the sector through a continuous technology strategy development process that orients the sector around compelling Peraton offerings, new product development and internal research and development, generating near and long-term actions to drive outcomes for program and new business growth and to foster alignment across Peraton.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging solutions and services, technology trends, industry shifts, and best practices to keep the sector at the forefront of relevant innovation.
  • Provide guidance and support throughout the business growth life cycle - assisting the growth team in conversations around technology, innovation, strategic partnerships/alliances, M&A opportunities, business cases and ROI models.
  • Foster cross-company collaboration and drive internal and external partnerships, accelerating the pace of technological advancement.
  • Build and refine a high-performing technology organization to drive new business and on-contract growth while cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Manage the technology budget, allocating resources efficiently and in line with sector objectives, while maintaining cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 18+ years of technology leadership experience, including 5+plus years in a management role, ideally working with DoD, IC, NASA, and/or NOAA.
  • MS degree in technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of space and intelligence disciplines, involving space protection and resiliency, cyber operations, ISR, communications, ground systems, artificial intelligence, data analytics, network operations, systems engineering, enterprise IT, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and agile software development.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a history of mentoring and developing high-performing technical talent.
  • Strategic thinker with robust business acumen, skilled at aligning technology initiatives with broader organizational goals to drive growth and success.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Active TS/SCI or eligibility

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Details

Target Salary Range: $229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
