Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Special Security Technician (Physical) supporting the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Directorate of Intelligence (J2) located at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida and at a variety of other locations throughout CONUS/OCONUS and the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Physically inspect and document findings for USCENTCOM SCIF accreditation to identify deficiencies affecting SCIF accreditations.
- The contractor shall perform and maintain all annual SCIF inspection checklists.
- Maintain the Open Storage Inspection Program and perform annual inspections of approved open storage areas.
- Inspect, assess, and draft responses to requests for residential use and storage of sensitive/classified information and equipment; recommending whether the residence meets the minimum physical security standards required to adequately protect classified information.
- Physically inspect and assess each residential use site, identify risks, and recommend best setup/modifications to meet minimum-security standards.
- Maintain and update SCIF TEMPEST Addendums and Fixed Facility Checklists to maintain SCIF accreditation.
- Manage/maintain the access badge system and provide customer service at the USCENTCOM visitor center Monday - Friday from 0600-1800 and as required during surge periods.
- This includes managing and maintaining access control to the USCENTCOM compound and facilities, obtaining authorization for access from U.S.
- Government representatives and granting all personnel/visitors appropriate physical access to command facilities and access-controlled areas.
- Maintain the online Access Control Database (ACD) and badge records in the American Magnetic Technology (AMAG) system.
- Monitor the AMAG Intrusion Detection System/Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to help control access and preclude any unauthorized access.
- Process FVEY Mitigation packages and SCIF accreditation requests for approval.
- Maintain and process exceptions to SCIF policy requests for USCENTCOM.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 12 years (at least 2 years current) of experience as Special Security Technician or equivalate job related to the Responsibilities listed above.
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in an area related field
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
This position requires the candidate have an active TS/SCI clearance with favorable counterintelligence (CI) polygraph. US Citizen ship is required to obtain a clearance.
Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
