Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer
The candidate will perform the following duties:
- Organize disparate information, identify underlying themes, synthesize key messages, and generate communication aides such as reports, briefings, and strategic plans.
- Provide proactive project management and technical support to include, but not limited to, providing assessments of vendor's Integrated Master Schedule, identifying and tracking critical path of development activities, and documenting and driving to closure action items discussed during program status reviews
- Assist with planning, facilitating, and supporting offsite quarterly meetings
- Consolidate, de-conflict, and prioritize existing and future requirements
- Coordinate and track active mission planning, CONOPs, and integration exercises with partners
- Identify program and technical risks to the program and work with COTRs and project leads to mitigate and address these risks
- Assist in managing and tracking the program budget status for COTRs and project leads
- Interface with customer front offices organizations to understand and draft responses to upcoming data calls, briefing packages, budget exercises, and other business needs
- Interface with operations teams, both formally on behalf of the program and informally, to understand current and future operational requirements
- Assist in acceptance testing at both system and component level by witnessing test or characterization events and providing assessments and feedback of the events to COTRs, project leads, and vendor
- Assist in the development of the program's technical strategy.
- Define trade space and help refine the government's technical direction
- Domestic travel up to 1 to 2 times per month may be necessary
Qualifications
Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.

QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate shall have the following required skills and demonstrated experience:
- Ability to organize disparate information, identify underlying themes, synthesize key messages, and generate communication aides such as reports, briefings, and strategic plans.
- Familiarity with the operational tempo of the customer and understanding of the unique constraints associated with the operational systems engineering lifecycle.
- Strong project management skills to include cost/schedule/risk planning
- Outstanding verbal and written skills.
- Proven record of building positive relationships with customers at all levels and ability to act the role as a liaison with other partners and stakeholders.
- Experience writing technical requirements, statements of work, etc.
- Experience supporting acquisition process
- Experience briefing both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience capturing minutes and tracking action items to completion
- Be a team player and partner with engineering and operations integrators across the organization in fulfilling the mission.
- Other demonstrated experience which are highly desired, but not required, include:
- Customer-specific domain knowledge
- PMP Certification

Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
