Responsibilities
Ready to make an impact? Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer SME to support Testing of new Ground Infrastructure for a customer demonstration program.
The successful SIT/SME candidate uses a holistic approach to assist with design, development, evaluation and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their life cycle. Responsibilities include:
- Develops quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
- Ensures requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods (RVTM).
- Establishes and coordinates use of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall integration, verification, and validation of the ground infrastructure.
- Reviews and refines interfaces and brings system elements together to work as a whole and assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
- Leads or participates in design/major milestone reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
- Develops test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to integrate, verify and validate requirements.
- Execute test plans/procedures to meet objectives in the testing process.
- Integrate activities among multiple internal groups, enterprise services, and mission
- Assist the customer with scheduling, tracking actions, gathering requirements and collecting data across efforts.
- Participates in/facilitates TEMs, develops agendas, records minutes, tracks actions
- Domestic travel up to 1 to 2 times per month may be necessary
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI w/ Poly
- U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance
- At least 10 years of experience in network systems engineering, with a focus on development, integration, and testing.
- In-depth understanding of networks, including operational use, design principles, and interoperability with other systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in system integration, testing, and validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 years’ experience in space acquisitions focused on development, integration, and testing of space communications systems.
Target Salary Range
$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
