Program Overview
Supports the transformation and modernization of legacy Coast Guard systems and services including mobility, messaging, ITSM, ITAM, Network Infrastructure, and legacy data systems from on premise implementations to cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. New system and service implementations, including zero trust architecture, to provide leading edge systems that are both secure and accessible.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Technical Management Service Lead to support the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) program in Kearneysville, West Virginia.

 

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a team of service line managers, product owners, and engineers in the design, development, testing, and certification of capabilities and solutions for the IMS services within the portfolio.
  • Interface with USCG Technical Warrant Holders (TWHs) where applicable to set the course and integration plan.
  • Work with developers to provide cybersecurity solutions for both on premise, private and public cloud environments.
  • Provide the product management, engineering, technical knowledge, and support services required to plan, design, secure, test, and deploy systems and tooling.
  • Develop and maintains roadmaps for each service including minimizing touch labor requirements, integrating with external products, and providing EOL/EOS technology refresh evaluation and support.
  • Monitor demand, availability, and capacity for IMS services, systems, subsystems, and components and works with IMS Contractor leadership team to develop and execute plans to maintain performance within acceptable thresholds.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance. 
  • 10+ years of experience in DoD, DHS, or USCG enterprise operations, with a strong understanding of system integration, dependencies, and data flows critical to mission success.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and architecture, including the ability to design, develop, build, and implement complex solutions while ensuring alignment with the operational needs of the service.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, overseeing end-to-end IT initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, resource allocation, and risk mitigation in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams of IT professionals in a large-scale enterprise environment, driving operational efficiency, system reliability, and strategic alignment with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with senior leadership, effectively communicating technical strategies, presenting key insights, and fostering collaboration between IT teams and executive decision-makers.
  • Strong familiarity with DoD IT security requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, risk mitigation strategies, and best practices for securing enterprise IT environments.
  • Minimum Certification Requirements- Currently hold one or more of the following; ability to obtain all:

    • ITIL v3 and/or ITIL 4 Foundation to align with the latest version of DESMF
    • Certified TBM Executive (CTBME)

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
