Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Remote Technical Project Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Data Center and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) contract team. 

This is a multi-year contract to provide IT services to manage and operate the DHS Hybrid Computing Environment (HCE). The HCE is a collection of enterprise computing IT services to manage and operate the DHS (HCE) including DHS Data Center 1, collection sites, gov cloud, commercial and private cloud services. The Project Manager is responsible for successfully implement projects within these environments.  

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Proven track record for managing multiple concurrent IT projects.
  • Lead a matrix team in the planning, execution and control of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Interface with clients and/or project team to define and ensure project solution meets requirements and priorities based upon task order scope/requirements.
  • Responsible for the project performance from inception through project completion in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Determines project schedule, milestones, and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
  • Responsible for all project communications artifacts, technical and status meetings, with internal and external leadership and technical teams.
  • Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
  • Conduct project meetings, creation and distribution of project meeting minutes and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Responsible for the quality of and delivery of internal project deliverables to include vendor tasks and deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to account Risk management practices.
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Responsible for project change control planning and execution.
  • Able to do Office Management tasks that are outside of contract scope. (inventory, office processes).
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience. 
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust / DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
    • Employment is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD security clearance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience in technical project management, including leading cross-functional teams to deliver technology-driven solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management principles, practices, and tools, as well as familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels, fostering strong working relationships and trust.
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership and decision-making capabilities, with experience managing competing priorities in fast-paced environments.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
