Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to join our to join our team of qualified, and diverse individuals.

 

This position is in support of the Department of Homeland Security/ICE and will provide requirements analysis, design of solutions, implementation, and transition services.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Engineer technical solutions for ICE that integrate into the appropriate hosting environment, conform to ICE & DHS architectural, security, and hosting standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure all new technologies are in alignment with the ICE Architecture and in adherence to the ICE OCIO SLM process.
  • Perform end‐to‐end video/multimedia troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Design, implement, and support, as required, Unified End Point mobility system across multiple environments running in a high availability configuration.
  • Analyze, evaluate, test, and support, as required, emerging technologies.
  • Standardize the installation, training, and quality assurance testing for all new 42 Infrastructure Engineering Services projects and/or technologies.
  • Gather requirements to design, engineer, and deploy endpoint firewalls and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) /Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience or Master's degree and 0 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and minimum 6 years experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able pass background investigation to obtain a public trust.
  • Experience with video/multimedia troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with endpoint firewalls and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) /Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any of the following Certifications would be an advantage: Avaya Badges, CTNS, iNARTE, IPEP, NCTI, (CCNA, CCNP, CCNE)

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
