Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring an Unmanned Underwater Vessel specialist in San Diego, CA.

 

You will be attached to an Expeditionary Mine Counter Measure Company and be responsible for the training, maintenance, documentation, and repair of multiple MK 18 Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV's) during and 18 month training cycle followed by an overseas deployment of no less than 6 months.

 

What you'll do:

  • Support data collection and analysis for mine countermeasure's objectives in various harbor areas, littorals, and shipping lanes.
  • Provide Data analysis on R&D work on new UUV sensors. UUV operations will be conducted from small boats deployed from shore, embarked on various Navy Units Afloat and from Forward Operating Bases.
  • Support of SPAWAR and US Navy Forces for OCONUS Mine Countermeasure (MCM) Response for MCM operations tasking, including ongoing UUV experimentation of emerging technologies related to UUV mission. 
Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Education:  HS diploma and 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must have 2 years of Unmanned Systems operational experience
  • 3 years experience of MK 18 Family of Systems UUV operational experience, including at least six months of operational UUV experience in direct support of military operations
  • Clearance:  US Citizen and the ability to obtain Secret security clearance 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Class “C” Driver License, Cat 3 crane certification, 25k and below forklift operator’s license within 60 days of employment

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
