Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a Desktop Administrator (Windows) who will perform the daily tasks listed below using Microsoft Operating Systems, along with any COTS/GOTS applications for three network domains, ensuring that defined security mandates are enforced. The individual must have a proven solid work experience background in customer service, and desktop support. The individual must have experience with working in a Windows 10/11 environment.
What you'll do:
- Stays abreast of developments in hardware and software.
- Support DoD customers in a demanding environment.
- Assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs.
- Provides supervision of the customer installation of hardware and software products to maintain system integrity.
- Conducts system calibrations after the hardware and software are installed.
- Coordinates resolution of product/service issues, and upgrades.
- Manage printer services.
- Manage virtual machine management consoles. (Treidici, WYSE)
- Diagnose problems and escalate unresolved issues or problems – may provide alternative courses of action.
- Document problem resolutions completely and accurately.
- Use Remedy ticketing system to track work.
- Researches, collects, and reports technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions.
- Design, develop, evaluate, and modify systems and systems-oriented products.
- Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities.
- Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
- Provide technical guidance to management on changing trends and emerging products in the industry to further improve existing technology and its application.
- Develops and maintains manuals, drawings, system specifications, electronic and hardcopy files of customer installations, calibration records, maintenance records, and quality control information.
- Provide after-hours support for emergency scenarios.
- Be familiar with the DISA STIG requirements for Windows-based workstations.
- Be familiar with DoD Information Assurance Concepts/Process.
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
- Experience in software installation.
- Experience in Windows troubleshooting.
- Experience in laptop/PC maintenance and service.
- Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
Required Certifications:
- Must obtain/maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II is required (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) Certification within 120 Days of hire.
Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
