Program Description

The mission of the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) contract is to support Department of State (DoS) initiatives by providing leading cyber and technology security programs to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Scope

The scope of the DSCM work encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, cloud, operational, logistical and administrative support for DS/CTS for the US Department of State. The Peraton team supporting DSCM will leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions. DoS’s Enterprise networks span approximately 275 diplomatic facilities in 175 countries, and 150 domestic offices. The networks consist of approximately 125,000 users across unclassified and classified networks and hundreds of thousands of assets.

The size of DoS’s networks and footprint can change accordingly, and the role of DSCM is to provide support to the Directorate in securing all of the Department’s IT assets regardless of the environment (e.g. on-premise, off-premise, cloud, third-party hosted, etc.). Furthermore, the DoS currently maintains assets in more than 200 cloud instances with further expansion anticipated. As a result, the DSCM contract will provide all CTS Offices with expertise in all cloud aspects to include but not limited to architecture, security, monitoring, investigations, Cloud Service Provider (CSP) contract analysis to best define cloud security control roles & responsibilities. In addition, the DSCM contract will provide Cyber Data Analytic solutions for all aspects of the CTS mission across all Offices.

Some who support the DSCM contract may be required to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations for temporary duty assignments to conduct/support assessments, briefings, systems deployment, and other aspects of the CTS mission. All DSCM team members must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance to perform work in support of DSCM.
