For more than twenty years our team has provided network implementation and deployment support to SSA’s Office of Software Operation and Hardware Engineering (OSOHE)/ Division of Network Engineering, winning three re-compete contracts.
The Peraton Team provides network engineering in a variety of disciplines including WAN, LAN, server load balancing, service segments, network security engineering, WLAN, remote access VPN, Mainframe networking, and network performance monitoring. We also perform vendor independent Level 3 troubleshooting of the most critical network problems. The network engineers are responsible for an extensive (2,861 Cisco routers), geographically dispersed network with more than 10,000 Cisco Catalyst Switches, plus hundreds of firewalls, server load balancers, and other network appliances. Our network engineers are fully certified in all the products we work on such as Cisco, Extreme, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, F5, IBM, VMWare, and many more products.
Peraton pioneers the use of ServiceNow to manage our integration and deployment services. We provide high-end technical network engineering, program management, incidental network infrastructure services, Wireless LAN engineering and site survey tasks, legacy network equipment support, and integration and deployment services at the 1700+ SSA sites as well as SSA headquarters and two data centers. Our team is responsible for full scope information security operation to protect the agency from all vectors. The customer looks to us for technical leadership as well as added value support and implementation of best practices.
The Peraton Team has supported enterprise-wide activities that include work at every SSA facility. The team has continued to maintain and support the network with feature upgrades, technology refreshment, and third-level troubleshooting. Peraton engineers perform in key roles for multiple initiatives such as two new data center network infrastructure engineering, Data Center migration, Virtual Private Network Infrastructure engineering and expansion, SSA Wireless LAN network, and SSA Secured Mobile solutions.
