Program Description

The USPS Central Repair Facility (CRF) is a USPS repair depot staffed and managed by Peraton. The CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing, delivery, and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail, and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.

What We Do:

The CRF repairs, overhauls, and refurbishes USPS mail processing and mail handling equipment from the smallest cameras to football field-size sorting machines. The CRF provides USPS with third and fourth echelon repair services including testing, screening, repairing field-returned-not-ready-for-issue end items, fabrications of mechanical parts, order filling, inventory control and accountability, warehouse management, database management, as well as engineering support.

How We Do it:

Peraton is a designated Key Supplier and was awarded the prestigious USPS Supplier Performance Award in 2021 and 2022. The repair depot supports all USPS mail processing operations infrastructure and provides significant support to USPS Retail & Delivery, Information Technology, Supply Management, and Telecommunications organizations.

The CRF has been in operation for over 45 years.
