Program Overview
About The Role

 

Position Overview: Are you ready to make a significant impact on human spaceflight? Peraton is seeking highly organized and efficient Administrative Support Specialists (Multiple openings/Multiple levels) to join our team. This role will provide crucial administrative support to senior leadership, program managers, and operational teams, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day program activities. The Administrative Support Specialist will be responsible for managing schedules, coordinating communications, preparing documentation, and handling logistics for meetings, travel, and events. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative support within NASA or government settings and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. 

Examples of duties include but not limited to: 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to senior program management and key personnel, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring follow-up on action items. 
  • Draft, edit, and proofread program-related documents, reports, presentations, and meeting minutes. Ensure all materials are accurate, clear, and aligned with program requirements. 
  • Assist with coordinating various program activities, including internal and external meetings, events, and conferences. Ensure all logistics are managed, including venue selection, travel, and accommodations. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for communications within the program, including responding to inquiries, forwarding information to the appropriate parties, and maintaining timely communication with stakeholders. 
  • Organize and manage travel arrangements for program staff, including flight bookings, hotel accommodations, rental cars, and itineraries for both domestic and international travel. 
  • Assist in tracking expenses related to the program and ensuring that costs remain within budget. Support the preparation and reconciliation of financial reports, travel reimbursements, and other administrative costs. 
  • Organize logistics for meetings, briefings, and special events, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available.
  • Take notes at meetings and prepare summaries or action item lists as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate records, including program files, documents, and correspondence.
  • Assist in maintaining electronic filing systems and ensuring compliance with document retention policies. 
  • Identify and recommend improvements to administrative processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the program. 

**This position is contingent upon award of contract** 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Level 1: High School diploma or equivalent and 0-5 years of experience, Level 2: HSD with 3-7 years or BS/BA with 0-2 years, Level 3: HSD and 5-9 years or BS/BA with 3-5 years or MS/MA with 0-2 years experience. 
  • Ability to obtain security clearance (up to TS/SCI) or background investigation as required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other productivity tools. 
  • General understanding of Adobe. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with NASA or DoD customers 
  • Previous experience in human spaceflight mission full life cycle activities 

 

Security Clearance:  

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance as required. US Citizenship is required to obtain this clearance.

Details

Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
