Peraton is seeking a talented Cyber Security Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.
Responsible for the security architecture across a variety of applications or domains, to include cloud computing, and assigned to project/initiatives of large size, complexity and risk. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer develops actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards and guidelines to ensure enterprise information technology architecture and support is consistent, usable, secure and adds value to the business.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in cybersecurity engineering or information assurance roles
Solid understanding of security architecture and frameworks (e.g., NIST, DoD RMF, ISO 27001)
Experience designing and implementing security controls for enterprise systems and networks
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their associated security models
Strong knowledge of network protocols, embedded systems, and Defense-In-Depth security principles
Experience supporting the system lifecycle, including risk management and secure design practices
