Program Overview
Nationwide program dedicated to maintaining IT infrastructure operations across TSA. Contract supports all US airports and 30+ US Embassy/Consulates international sites across 30 different countries where TSA is present
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of technical engineering projects in accordance with contractual obligations, corporate procedures and guidelines.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all assigned support resources to ensure effective execution of project deliverables.
  • Responsible for defining project scope, establishing objectives, and driving performance to meet both client and organizational expectations.
  • Responsible for proposal writing of various technologies and be responsible for the staffing plan.
  • Manage the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives and provides a single point of contact for projects.
  • Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and supporting new business development.
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
  • Manages one or more programs.
  • Supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
  • Participates in driving initiatives for achieving established objectives.
  • May serve as the primary or assistant technical and management interface for the company, customer, and senior staff.
  • Responsible for assisting in technical leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary staff.
  • Develop and operate a variety of technical systems related to the specific job function.
  • Specify systems requirements and ensure that completed systems meet requirements.
  • Support data acquisition process control.
  • Prepares and approves Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols and other technical documentation.
  • Able to supervise, manage, support and evaluate personnel.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree and 8 years’ experience or Master degree and 6 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 10 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years’ experience.    
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance. 
  • Experience managing an IT engineering team. 
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Experience managing the full project lifecycle project from initial concept and planning through implementation and completion.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (must obtain within 30 days of employment). 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TSA EOD Clearance.
  • Experience managing a TSA engineering project.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • CompTIA Security + Certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and use of judgment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion. 
  • Knowledge of client business environment and requirements.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
