Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an Information Environment Analyst, who is experienced working with a diverse team of linguists, analysts, and information operations (IO) planners to translate empirical research findings into operational assessments.
This position is working at the Client Site Honolulu, HI
Roles and responsibilities for this position include:
- Conduct assessments of the information environment, applying a combination of opinion research data, intelligence, operational reporting, and social media insights.
- Provide data visualization and explain quantitative analysis from Peraton’s research team / vendors and quantitative analysis.
- Contribute to design of opinion research and interpretation of findings. Examples of opinion research includes survey, flash polls, focus groups, and in-depth interviews.
- Prepare status reports, assess project issues and risks, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop, refine, and coordinate assessment and collection plans for active and future series in the theater being reported in the Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) system.
- Contribute to the collection of social, cultural, economic, political, religious, and regional indicators through all available sources to assess approved series in the theater.
- Review studies conducted by similar organizations and determine reliability, validity and other strength factors for potential use in theater.
- Create/lead innovative social science research initiatives, educate staff on proposed responsibilities, collect results from the implemented tasks, and report to senior-decision makers.
- Work independently or in collaboration with social scientists within and outside the theater.
- Responsible for contributing to analytic and assessment projects evaluating the information environment (IE) for a variety of Combatant Commands (CCMDs), supported through Peraton’s Operationally Dynamic Information Network (ODIN).
- Support the completion of analytic and assessment reports in the form of white papers, briefs, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Conduct quick-turn answers to requests for information (RFIs), leveraging a variety of capabilities (social science research, AI/ML enabled tools, and other analytic platforms).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree, 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters or 2 years of relevant experience with PhD
- Experience working with data analytic tool kits (e.g., Babel X, Zignal Labs, Predata, Styx AI, Shadow Dragon, etc.)
- The ability to work on a team in a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge and experience in use of all Microsoft Office products
- Experience with foreign policy analysis and supporting USG customers (preferably within DOD)
- Willing and able to travel within INDOPACOM AOR
- Current U.S. Passport
- Current DoD TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Masters in psychology, sociology, anthropology, behavioral sciences, social sciences and more than 9 years of applicable experience
- Relevant language skills, including Arabic, Farsi, Russian, or Mandarin
- Understanding, or desire to learn, concepts of AI-enabled analytics (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, LLMs, etc.) and cloud computing. Current TS/SCI clearance
- Joint intelligence or operational experience with U.S. Geographical Combatant Commands
- Focus on the INDOPACOM AOR and associated problem sets
- Previous experience working at INDOPACOM or forward elements in that AOR
- Statistical package expertise in IBM SPSS/PASW, R, STATA or MS Excel statistics
- Experience with campaign / operational assessments
- Should be comfortable using data analytic tool kits and opinion research methods

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
