Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Program Security Officer (CPSO)- Team lead to provide Peraton employees and their clients/partners with program security support and facilitate compliance of National Space Solutions Business Unit programs mainly located at the Herndon facility but with several team-members geographically located in other states.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of security professionals in the execution of security operations across multiple facilities and programs. Required support includes oversight and management of the execution of Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Communications Security (COMSEC), and Visitor Control primarily at the Herndon, VA location but with cognizance over multiple National Security Space program locations.
- Interpret and enforce government and company security policies and provide direction and guidance to program security personnel to protect and enable business.
- Interpret and enforce compliance with both DoD and IC community directives and guidance across multiple programs.
- Interface with program managers and maintain liaison with US Government Program Security Officers.
- Provide prime and/or subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254's and security guidance.
- Develop and revise program level security plans, procedures, and instructions, as well as ensuring their consistent application.
- Oversee classification guidance to employees; the development and provision of security education and awareness training; the conduct of security briefings; lead security self-inspections and audits and investigate security incidents.
- Ensure timely and relevant security volume development for various business unit proposals within the programs supported
- Communicate status of ongoing projects and tasks with varying levels of management and departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years security experience, to include 3+ years of security office administration and facility security experience.
- Additional relevant work experience may be considered en lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Must possess a high level of understanding of government security related policies, procedures, and initiatives (32 CFR Part 117, ICD 704, ICD 705, Trusted Workforce 2.0)
- Basic knowledge of intrusion detection systems, access control devices and TEMPEST requirements
- Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations
- Ability to lead and build a strong security team
- Ability to effectively prioritize incoming tasks and manage workload across security team
- Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security
- Highly proficient written and verbal communications skills with emphasis on clear and concise presentation of complex information
- Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions
- Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a dynamic environment
- Basic knowledge of intrusion detection systems and access control devices.
Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
