Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance in order to maintain constant and monitoring of the customer’s infrastructure. The Cloud Engineer will be able to utilize the full capabilities of the tool to provide the engineering team and the customer accurate and clear insights to the state of environment.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Deploy, debug, and execute initiatives related to cloud computing.
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies.
- Interact with clients, provides cloud support, and makes recommendations based on client needs.
- Migrate applications and systems to the cloud.
- Configure cloud infrastructure components like networking and security services.
- Create the applications and databases that perform on the cloud.
- Monitors cloud management and data storage services.
- Manage a cloud environment and debugging activities throughout development.
- Collaborates and identifies cloud solutions with technical teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-based process difficulties.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and 8 years’ experience or Associate degree and 10 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years' experience
- U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
- Possess Microsoft Azure AZ-900 certification.
- Expertise in cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
- Ability to define requirements, specify architectures, complete detailed designs, and oversee implementations.
- Proven technical skills and a strong understanding of cutting-edge cloud solutions and architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Possess an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 certification or the ability to obtain within one month
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in AWS, and/or VMWare environments.
- Microsoft Azure certifications:
- Azure Administrator Associate
- Azure Network Engineer Associate
- Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Experience developing Bash/Python scripts and templates necessary for resource provisioning to occur automatically.
- Experience with web development frameworks, database technologies, web services, and/or web application servers.
- Discovering and implementing industry-standard cloud service offers, as well as processes and standards that ensure the most efficient use of cloud service provider products.
- Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action and an ability to find innovative ways to solve problems.
Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
