Program Overview
Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.
About The Role

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in both Network Engineering and Systems Engineering to support cutting-edge technologies within Cloud Operations. This role involves reviewing customer-submitted requirements, conducting comprehensive end-to-end network systems engineering, and identifying new requirements to meet evolving mission objectives.The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and deployment of data networks tailored to Cloud Operations, as well as expertise in network architecture, system integration, and implementation of new solutions. A solid understanding of network management protocols and practical application is essential.

 

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and network teams to capture, analyze, and implement customer requirements.

  • Design, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Develop detailed specifications and network architecture schematics, ensuring alignment with organizational and mission objectives.

  • Provide expert recommendations on hardware selection and implement tools and techniques that optimize performance while meeting both current and future capacity requirements.

  • Demonstrated expertise across all facets of network hardware, interconnection, and interfacing—including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.

  • Design and implement robust network failover and high-availability solutions to support mission-critical systems and major customers.

  • Hands-on experience with network appliances such as Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches, and Cisco 2960-XR Layer 2 switches.

  • Deliver tailored network solutions to support server and application needs, including VPNs, load balancing, firewall contexts, and network address translation (NAT).

  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and configurations, including Catalyst 6500 series, 9332, 9336, and 9508 switches, as well as ASR 1009, 1013, and 1003 routers.

  • Experience with advanced networking techniques such as configuring GRE tunnels, implementing MPLS, and conducting redundancy testing across multiple Cisco platforms.

Qualifications
  • Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required

Details

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
