Program Overview
Encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical, and administrative support for Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Cyber and Technology Security Directorate in three key offices/functional areas: Cyber Monitoring and Operations, Cyber Threat and Investigations, and Technology Innovation and Engineering State.
About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking to hire an experienced Cyber Intel Analyst to become a part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes.


Location: Arlington, VA.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Work closely with other cybersecurity teams to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall defense strategies.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members in developing technical skills and enhancing performance. Develop team members, helping them grow in their cybersecurity careers.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, security policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats and attack vectors to ensure the team is prepared for new challenges.
  • Create and present reports to senior leadership detailing security status, incidents, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Be responsible for all schedule and technical performance of multiple projects or major tasks.
  • Need to be able to identify APT activity and recommend mitigation procedures.
  • Must be familiar with MITRE Attack Framework and Diamond Modeling.
  • Provide cyber threat briefings and consultations. A strong understanding of current threats and proper mitigations is desired.
  • Analysts will be assigned regionally. Regional expertise is strongly desired
  • Conduct in-depth research and answer unique questions relating to cyber threat activity.
  • Produce highly detailed cyber threat assessments with in-depth analysis geared toward a global audience.
  • Leverage multiple open source and classified databases.

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Bachelors degree with 9 years experience; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement. 
  • Active Security+ certification.
  • Experience in domain and virus detections tools.
  • Must be familiar with MITRE Attack Framework and Diamond Modeling.
  • Experience in designing and defining system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • An active Top Secret security clearance.
    • Eligibility to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Desired:

 

  • Expertise in and with Domain Tools & Virus detection.
  • IAT Level II Qualification with: GCIH CYSA

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
